Hi all, I have seen the upgrade training and read a few posts about the new global library. How do I load it ? I have tried many times and removed the AC27 library and reloaded the AC28 library but I cant seem to locate any new objects. I have tried to search windows and doors but can’t find any new ones. What steps am I messing ?

You can't load the folder that contains the library packs (like we could before).

You have go into that folder and load each library pack individually.

You can CTRL+A to select all of them and then un-select the foreign language packs if you do not want those.

Sorry - I forgot about the information button.

Yes, that library is loaded and has 69 objects.

Only 30 are place-able - the rest are macros.

You have not yet placed any curtain walls in your file using those objects, but they are available to you in the curtain wall tool.

Ok ! I have loaded quite a few of the individual library packs. Some of them have nothing in them by the looks ??? For example in the curtain wall library pack, I couldn’t find any extra elements to view although there were about 4 favorites already loaded when I press the arrow on the curtain wall tool icon. Are these library parts already included in migrated libraries ?

I will keep loading and viewing the AC28 library packs to see what other goodies I can find.

All of the library packs have something in them.

Curtain wall has all of the frames, panels, accessories, etc.

You can browse through them all in the Library Manager.

Thank you for the picture of the folder and what is in it. I didn’t seem to get that folder after loading that library ? I will have to try again after a reboot and see if it has actually loaded ? I hope it is not related to a Mac issue ?

There should be no difference between Mac and Windows machines.

Tried a few times again and it will not load the curtain wall library parts. I looked at the info icon in the library manager, it tells me how many parts are in the pack but it gives me zero loaded. Can’t figure this one out even after loading and re-loading ??? Other parts in the package have loaded ok.

I think I will just have to wait until the full version is out.

Are you using Teamwork / BIMcloud?

Nowhere in my library manager does it tell me how many objects are in the library pack or how many objects are loaded.

Maybe you can show some screen shots?

If it is BIMcloud though, I will be of no help as I never use it.
