Serverfailure on boot with USB license dongle connected.

Hi.

We are running a WIBU-KEY licese server with 2 USB dongles and it takes a loooot of time to run trough BIOS, Tkaing one USB dongle out reduces the time but still a loong time.
The dongles are also slowing down the perfomance of the mashine as the BIOS seems to run in a "limp home" state.

This problem with the performance dropping seems to be related to many types of USB - units. Having a lot of reports coming in from our Univ. with the same problem on USB-units for other servers and applications.

On my wich list: a NON-USB license handler.

Hi

We have moved our WIBU-server and installed parallel-port dongle instead of USB-dongles.

Adding a .reg script that changes the server adress in WIBU-KEY : Network on clients.

Note: replace
"Server1"="myserver.company.com"
"Server2"="144.144.144.144"

with your server DNS name and IP-number and run it on your clients.

Seems that the file didn't come trough, it contains:

------- WIBU.reg --------------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WIBU-SYSTEMS\WIBU-KEY\Network\03.00\WkLanAccess]
"Server1"="myserver.company.com"
"Server2"="144.144.144.144"

------- end of file ------
