New Object 3DMD Polyline Fence

Hi
I'm working on a new object I will share with you on Archicad BimComponents. I share here it in the first beta version, so we can try to find some bags or improvements.

The object fence is really only a simple version of a main object most complex. The logic in which the main object works is to generate a 3d editable poly line, base to generate more complex or simple tubes along it, in which I can distribute more simple or complex posts.

I'll will use the main complex object to create single simple objects.

Give me any suggestion and request of any object based on this logic. I will be happy to try to create your personal request.

The last version is here:

Its possible now for the wall-top to step up and down each segment for itself. I also included more "layers" for DPC wandering down the wall and the foundation, thermal insulation on both sides of the wall, a layer for external perimeter coating. I tried to add a backfilling but this has to work different and should not be used now.

All important measures of the profile-elements can be edited in 3D

look at my tutorial once it is uploaded - in englisch (my GDL-Part is still german now and will be translated when the bugs are out.)

try it here (austrian edu-18 file:)

Excellent , lots of hotspots kind of wish we could have different colors assigned to hotspots but recognizing which ones do what will come with practice. The 2d representation looks good in cross section , however it needs improvement in plan view. Works really good in 3d - adjusts freely to elevations nicely but has a couple of warning messages (negative values). Do you think it is possible to hide the center vertical lines ? while handy for laying out they do not show well for rendering. wonderful stuff !!!!!!!!!!!

Hell RanyC! Thank You for your positive critics - This helps a lot for motivation and the direction of the further development! Everyone has a diffrent sight to this topic and its needs.

I am not sure if its possible to get rid of the lines between the inner elements - but i have some ideas to this.

Much more work and real programming is the accurate 2D representation because ther is no automatic implemented for display the cuts in 1m hight above 2D-Plan level for getting it from 3d-Elements. the project2 cant do this. So i Have to prove the hight of every inner element about this and have to make hatches for it. This is tricky..

As told in my last Vid - ill will have to translate the user menue of this thing into english and i hope you will help me to find the exact vocabularies for each part.

greetings from Salzburg.

Hmooslechner,
please publish pictures too. Often I in a harry and I can't see the video.

RandyC,
I rewrote part of the code o the object. I need till add the different top-base wall elevation. One question: my polyline is a tube along a path so if I have differen top-base wall elevation I'll have a slanted top-botton wall side; is this what you want? Please share a picture o sketch of what you'd like to have.

I'm also working on an other object based on the same macro I used for 3DMD Polyline Fence.
The new object is 3DMD Polyline Pathway; the texture follow the path.
I' hope It will useful to your works.

Thanks alot Mario, I wll try it and post feedback!
Again, you guys do a great job, thank you for contributing!

edit :
OK, after testing it for awhile I can honestly say that it exceeded my expectations!
It's easy to use and modify.
Lots of visualization options.
A great tool!
I think I found a bug though,see attached image
Also if I may add a suggestion/wish,
it would be great if you could implement an option to change the height of individuals segments, either by creating a "step" or by smooth transition.
Again, thank you for your effort!

Thank you Anestis. I have rewritten part of the code. I think I solved the bag you mean.
For now I added a different top/base elevation wall per point, as you can see in the picture attached. In the future I planned to add also the step elevation, but I need time to do it well. Ican't give you now the date.
I'm solving other bit thinks to attach again the object here in beta test.
