Hello!
We're working on a cylindrical building with diffent radii on the different stories.
We're now at the stage where we want to model the facade in more detail, but we're a bit stumped on the best way to do this.
The image below is made with walls and columns. It has a nice appearance, but it's quite labor-intense. The curtain wall tool seems like the way to do it, but we can't get the corners to look nice. If we would have the exact same angle between panels all over the place we could model a profile, but since the radius is different we would get so many different frame parts it would be too confusing.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Thank you!

Not sure I understand the problem, a curtain wall can be curved....
Or was that not the issue?

Hi!
Sorry, the question was unclear.
Maybe it's my lack of understanding of the curtain walls, but my joints look like this:

Hi
I don't think the problem is in joints, but rather in the pannels. I tested it and the joints follow the curved line nicely, however the pannels just "connect the dots" - joints - in a straight line. I believe that the effect you're going for is how to bend the pannels. I don't know how to do it or if it's even possible to do.
Good luck!

I’m just here to say that with Archicad, is very behind on curves, flutes, or anything angular, there’s never an easy solution. They rarely listen to user feedback or requests, so it’s unlikely that will ever change. If there is fix to this, prepare that it’s something ridiculous tool to do it through - like railway, mash etc. 🤣
