How do I contrsuct a window in this (attached image) shape when I can't snap to the vertex between roof and wall?
As far as I know, ArchiCAD is missing guide lines in 3D view and logical snapping points.. It's kind of pathetic having to use roof to cut shapes instead of just forming an object using guide lines to construct and object to then use that object to extrude.
Anyway. I'm stuck with the window.. I'm thankful for any help.

Modeling a Virtual Building with ArchiCAD is a different process than modeling shapes that you can arrange to look like a building.
When you run into something you can’t do very well in ArchiCAD, it is probably because there is no reason to do it like that. It looks like your trying to place a window but you are not using the window tool.
Have you tried to use the trapezoid window?

But I do have this advice....
Cut a section or elevation to include the parts of the model you need. Keep it AUTO REBUILD... Here, all the snaps and hinted cursors work great...
If your "trapezoid" window has proper hotspots, you can tweak and stretch as you need to get it to conform to the shape.
