Hello!
I would like to cut the end of a beam in a specific way. In the screenshot you can see my hand drawn lines.
I want to cut the upper left corner of the beam.
Is that possible?

Hi,
Only now I could test it myself in AC.
You can offset the reference axis in beam settings.
And adjust the segment height/width in segment settings.

Hi,
For me its not very clear what are you trying to achieve, but look up beam segments, you can achieve your desired results with that I reckon.
More info on that:

hope this helps.

This is almost what I want. Thank you.
But is there a way to move the segment? Tried everything.
I would want it to be aligned at the bottom. But its always centered

You can edit the anchor point of the last segment to be offset (the symbol is 9 dots in a square pattern). In this way your beam will have the asymmetrical shape you are after.

These are the only options I have at the two anchor points.

You need to go into the settings on the beam (ctrl+T) , choose beam segment in the left menu and edit there.

You can only set the reference for the beam or column uniformly. There does not seem to be a way to do it by segment. One workaround that can work in limited circumstances is that you use a Complex Profile that contains your offset for your segment.
