Deleting ALL the Project PLN backup files in on shot?

So..I have a folder, in that business folder I have my clients from all over.
I continually amass the backup files for each and every project I work on and I'd like to know what is the best practice for deleting the backup files that Archicad 20 creates every single time I create a new project?

the backups are great but...............they are torturing my HD space.

thanks,

Rob,
In Mac Os Finder go:

• File -> New Smart Folder
• right corner of the window above the "Save" button select "+"
• right corner were it says "Name" select "Other"
• In that list look for "extension"
• the line should read then "File Extension - Is - BPN"
• Click the Save button
-----
Now you have a smart folder with all BPNs in your computer and you can delete as you wish. But I will not be responsible if you screw it up 😉
-----
If you are feeling adventurous you can edit the folder and also add that the BPNs have to be more than "X" months old so that you only delete the really old ones.

If they are all in one folder then set your Explorer to show the file details and make sure you have 'Date Modified' as one of the criteria. Then list by file type.
The BPN files will be in date order - delete what you need.

Or if they are in folders within folders then in the parent folder search for all BPN files. Again you need the results to sow a 'detail' list with 'DateModified'
Date modified can be different to just 'Date'or 'Date Created' so youneed when the files was last modified.

Another option (which I would not advise) is in the Work Environment > Data Safety And Integrity you can turn off the backups completely.
But then you lose a safety net if something happens to you main file or you need to go back one save.

There is only one BPN per job file and personally I would keep it as a safety net.
Get an second hard drive and archive older file there.

Also remember to empty your recycle bin when you delete files other wise you haven't really removed them from your hard drive at all.

thanks,
try save as... and in the options, choose 'compressed' and save.
This will make 1/3rd of total file size.

The easy and safe option to remove .bpn files is;
* search the file names ending with '.bpn'
* select and delete the files
