changing floor plane height or going up a story displays correctly.

looks very interesting but can you explain a little more about how you created this form without SOE ?
Thanks.

The form is created using SEOs. The only thing that I changed was the tool I started with.

Instead of starting with a Slab in which I created holes which will not display correctly in plan, I started with a Extruded Shell which will display correctly on plan.

The holes can be created with either empty skylights or by SEOs.

The rest of the procedure is the same as before.

Draw a box using the custom polygon method on plan, see image, when you close the polygon AC will extrude it vertically.

The width of the shell should be half the width.

brilliant helpful tip !!

so
1. create on plan, design of extrusion unit.
2. pick shell tool and select plan for extrusion.
3. extrude.
4. create elevation view.
5. in elevation view create spline line for extrusion rotate profile.
6. copy spline.
7. go back to plan and paste in spline line.
8. using spline line, use shell tool.
9. rotate soldobject 90 degrees,
10. use solid object editing SOE to subtract new shell element from original extrusions.
11. BINGO !

Ian
ps. this version i just tested, works for sections, elevations and plans.
