Multiple Printers - Multiple Pen Sets? (AC10 Mac)

Ok …. We have the problem in the office where we are running three different printers, and using one pen set results in very varied results.

The printers that we have are A0 black & white, A3 Colour and A0 Colour. The drawings need to be produced in colour as they are often converted to pdf and emailed or printed in colour, so the pen set used for drafting needs to represent true colours.

Now the question, if I make three different pen sets for the three different printers is this the best approach?

I know that I can change the pen sets for multiple drawings through drawing manager, which will require regeneration of all drawings when switching printers, however is there a way to assign a master pen set to a publisher set so that each time I can have three different publisher sets arranged for each of the different printers?

Thanks.

What kind of varied results are you getting? It may be a case where the problem lies in your Publisher settings (ie. Printer settings) more than your pen sets.

If not, I would suggest considering using a different viewset, layout set and publishing set for each printer, depending on the size of the project and if this is going to be an ongoing exercise.

However, there is no way to assign layers, pensets, MVOs, etc to Publishing sets unfortunately, so you may still run into problems with the pens on your master layouts. That's why it's important to determine the problem from the get-go, and see if it can't be addressed in your publishing settings.
