Hi,
Does anyone know how to search and choose all doors that are in specific wall type?
I am not sure which criteria should I set in the Search button?

Don't think it is possible in the 2d window but it is possible in the 3d window:

1/ Use find&select to select all walls with the specific wall type

2/ view selection in 3D (only the walls will be visible) (=F5)

3/ select all the doors (find&select or ctrl-a/command-a with the door-tool selected)

Hi @ananas & @cuba

Sure, you can select those doors in floorplan also as in 3D view,

*If they're located in specific area on the plan, you can create a thin polygonal marquee around them then activate the door tool then CTRL+A.

*If they're exist in specific layer, you can use Find & Select feature and set your selection criteria to (Door as Element type) & (the specific layer name to Layer).

** Please note that you can save your selected doors as a selection via the Selection palette for a faster calling or as your criteria set stored into Find & Select dialogue.

I hope that helps.

Hey there! 😊 You can try changing the Wall's ID from its default to something custom. Once you've done that, head over to the Find window, select "Parent ID," and type in your custom value. Just a heads up, though—you'll need to manually update the ID for each wall where you want the windows to be selected. Hope this helps!

It's incredibly frustrating how Graphisoft consistently overlooks issues that matter to us. This is just one more example of how they don't seem to care about the real needs of their users. Instead of addressing these persistent problems, they leave us to fend for ourselves, making us jump through hoops to find workarounds. It's like they couldn't be bothered to listen to the community or prioritize improvements that would actually make a difference in our workflow.
