Hello all,

Does somebody know the origin of this issue, and how to fix it. I want it all to be uniform and vertical, because in the elevation, when i activate the hatch it will follow this pattern. Why is this software full of annoying issues that nobody dares to fix!? Thank you!

Operating system used: Windows 11

Solution

Yes you can.

Extruded shell can also be detailed you just need to adjust two edges instead of one.

Long-term issue with AC texture mapping... There are several wishes that may or may not exists around here regarding this... The program uses box mapping so when it goes from one "face" of the box to another, your texture direction can change. You will notice that if you rotate your shell 90 degrees on the horizontal plane, the top texture will not rotate. I do not recall any way to orient the mapping for shells...

ps. Actually, I just went to look in AC28 and it has changed? So I am lost here...

Hey. Thanks for the reply. Yeah, basic feature but soo annoying. I will have to model each plank...

Maybe in registry editor or something similar? Because in registry editor I could change segmentation ...

Check this post.

Change the type of the shell to extruded and the texture will show correctly

You will have to recreate the shell though.....

I think I cant because its elypsoidal shape and i need to use detailed one to follow the polygonal line, because elypse is super complicated, not a circle tho...

Ohh, thanks a lot!! I will maybe give it a try, because that would be half of a working day, I have few different modules, so it may take some time... Thanks again!

If it works (it will...) check the post as a solution for others.
