Hi, I'm having this problem to model a curved spiral vault, i've been trying to model it whith the mesh tool but still I can't figure out how to do it properly:

Look at the screen shots

this is how it looks like from a lateral view

This is how it looks like in a 3d view, the thing here is that the orthogonal lines must become a curved lines just like in the lateral view. Any comments helping me to solve this will must appreciate

The only smoothly curved lines in a mesh can be at the outer edges.

You'll draw four separate but touching meshes to solve this problem.

OOOOPS!

I see now that you need straight edges with a curved slope:

Use a complex profile wall to do this - the horizontal scaling feature will allow for varied slopes.

I cant even imagine what a 'spiral curved vault' needs to look like in real life! Anyone got a photo?

Surely the two triangles formed by the pink dashed lines in the second image are in the same plane as each other, and could be built with one four sided object?

This actually is done by one of my college profesors, his name is Mario Larrondo Shiels, he builds down here in Mexico and this is how it looks like once it's done. Dwight you really are the archicad's guru!!! but can U explain me with more detail the process with the complex profiles please. I'll post a photos of the vault, it's just im having problems attaching it!!!
