3D view and constant force close

Anonymous
Not applicable
In and specific file I'm having constant crashes when going into the 3D view.

I don't have this problem in other projects so it is not hardware related.

How can I check what is causing this behaviour? or any other way to fix this?

Thanks!

I would turn all layers off (except Archicad layer of course) and then view it in 3D.
If it crashes there is there anything in that layer.
If it didn't crash then turn on each layer one at a time until you come across the crash.

Then if it is still not obvious what is causing the problem, make sure you have the problem layer(s) active in plan, select just some elements or marquees an area and view in 3D.
No crash = no problem try another selection or area.
Crash = problem - try again with a smaller selection or area.

Basically you have to isolate where the problem could be.

If you get any warning messages they can sometimes help.
