Looks like a bad download. Retry and check that the file size of the download is the same as the one indicated in the website.

Are you using MountainLion?
It could be GATEKEPPER.

Hi Nick,

I too have downloaded the New Zealand Student Version and am experiencing the same problem; have you found a solution for your one? I'd greatly appreciate it if you could fill me in on how to get around it

I've re downloaded the file three times now (checking that the file sizes match) and I still reach the same problem. (unfortunately I've driven my internet usage into the ground too)

And anyone else out there who might know what is going on, I'd really appreciate an answer

Oh yeah, and I'm running Mavericks 10.9.2.

Cheers,
Matt

Try using Progressive Downloader to see if you get a complete download.

Thank you! that one does help the dmg file downloaded to work eventhough the files are superficially exactly the same

I always thought that DMG extension naming is not the best.
When I see that extension the first word that pops into my head is DAMAGE.
And it seems there are a lot of damaged DMG files.
