ArchiCAD trial version upgrade question

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello,

I have been using the trial version for a few weeks, and as expected I really liked the software. I purchased a copy of ArchiCAD 15 and the USB key from a retiring architect, and during installation the software detects my previous trial version. I was wondering if I should install using "Add" or "Repair," and if my trial version file will be upgraded to the full version. If possible, I would like to prevent losing all my work from the trial version....

Thank you for your help!

Your trial version should automatically become the professional version as soon as you plug in the license key.
Has the key been re-programmed (upgraded) so that it is suitable for 15?
If not you will still only have the trial (demo) version.

Follow this link to check / upgrade your key.

Thank you so much for the reply....It worked! During the process I discovered that the USB was a WIBU key from previous versions of ArchiCAD, not the newly implemented CodeMeter key. As the ArchiCAD 15 installation process does not automatically include the older WIBU driver, the key was not recognized on my system. After downloading the driver from here:

the trial version opened as a full version without any problems.

Thank you again for your help...it saved me a lot of work!
