Archicad is slow on high end hardware

Hello,
So, the HW is I7, 4th gen, quad core, 16 gigs, gtx 860 4 gigs, ssd drive. Why is archicad so slow? It takes forever to save to an .atl file. The 3d view is just as slow, and the processor is not even challenged. The procesor is only used up to 8%. Can I specify somewhere how much procesor to use?

What is your operating system?
What version of ArchCAD are you using?
How many polygons in the model you are trying to export?

Generally I find older versions of AC running on newer operating systems to be less than optimal, make sure your AC is fully up to date.

Same here Six core 2014 i7 16gb 1866ram, gtx 770.

Just drawing something complex and everything is slow as hell.
Checked the folowing things before Archicad starts being slow:
Cpu usage: 10%
Memory usage of archicad: 1800MB
GPU usage: 40% - never more in 3D view
GPU Vram usage: 500MB dedicated
GPU Dynamic: 50MB

Sooo? How do I speed up anything? I'm not a noob with hardware and the numbers are not justifing a high-end hardware if it's not used.

I was considering buying a high-end GPU, but seing these numbers in GPU-Z keep me from it.

Windows 8.1 up to date
Archicad 18 up to date
Graphic drivers up to date
SSD etc.

I am testin a HD 7870 and GTX 770 and no difference in speed, while in C4D the 770 is 25% faster.
