Archicad looks great but there is a down side, it seams that you have to pay for every add on

Im a student and simply cannot afford to buy extra people and furniture etc from the online stores. Im not in business, just trying to impress. Is there anyway i can access a free library, or is anyone generous enough to share the things they have bought. Nothing will be passed on further, its purely for educational purposes...

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Which ArchiCAD Library are you using? The US library has quite a few commercial Objects that have been added since AC7.0. What kind of Objects are you specifically looking for?

I currently use archicad7.0, trying to get 8 at the minute.

Im currently designing an environmental and cultural interpretation centre based on Lindisfarne on Holy Island (UK) Im looking for a greater variation in the types of people, fittings for shops like shelving and retail equipment, i have an auditorium and workshop with ventilation ducts etc, The list could go on. I just liked the ability with other software i ihave to just download anything i needed. hmm. and example would be http://store.yahoo.com/intcad/arlib.html . Thats the options im looking for.

I don't know if there is much of a difference but... Are you working with an "Educational" version or a "Commercial" version of AC? And is it the "INT" version or the "US" version?

If it helps any, I have a free downloadable "Aeron" task chair available on my website: http://www.archisolutions.com/Store/GDL.htm (click on the "free downloads" button).

I hope to eventually be able to post many more free objects (as time and workload allows ).

... and so on. Follow the ArchiCAD Web ring. There is QUITE a bunch of people giving out free objects, or the whole libraries. ArchiRadar site has a comprehensive list of links, and Studio Arkada has arguably the best free collection available.

Enjoy
