Favorite palette acting up after reinstall

After trying to solve an unrelated issue by purging all AC preferences and a clean install, the favorite palette will not display properly in list format... at least how it did before in the sized column that fits my needs. I can undock it and stretch to the side and have the list, but also much excess space that I don't want. There appears to be an adjustable line, but I can't get it to do anything. I hope I am missing something.

On the attached screen shot you can see the issue. Before the reinstall I was getting the full text on the left side sizing.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi,

I think this is a known issue that's fixed already. Check this article out for the explanation and the solution.

Great, thanks. I will study up on this. I also had a major computer failing.. and had to buy a new iMac. I still have the same SSH though since it is so much faster than the standard HD. I had them swap the HD's out. SO, I guess my next step is to do a clean install for the Stairmaker issue we messaged about. I should probably not fear total chaos and just do it:) Maybe in a few days I can tackle that. thanks

Just backup your backup with another backup.

Last time I was migrating from one mac to the other my newly bought backup external HD crashed after I had wiped the old MAC clean (I was trading it in for the new one). Chances of that happening? Really small, but I did lose some data (I did have another partial backup somewhere, luckily).

Actually I have the current update installed with this issue. Maybe a clean install will fix everything...

Clean install.. all updates.. can't use favorites in list view unless the panel is stretched very wide.

Hi Rick,

Just checking if your signature reflects your current environment before I or someone else tries to reproduce:
Is this issue with AC 20 on Sierra (10.12)...or?

AC 20 with latest updates.. High Sierra with latest updates. The odd thing is that I was not having this issue until I uninstalled AC (with scrubbing the preferences etc) and reinstalling 20 trying to fix Stairmaker. I think Stairmaker broke after updating 7001, but not positive. Before that the Fav was just fine. thanks Karl

ps.. the reason for the clean install (AC20 and High Sierra) was to try and fix Stairmaker. I can't open a stair in it. You can make a stair, save it and that works, but you can not reopen it and tweak it except what you can access via the library settings.
