SOLVED!

I can not login

Hello,
I am new user and recently took an edu license.

I have a problem, in which I don't know what to do.

I can not login either at graphisoft or at myarchicad.com
Every time I am trying to access the page, it says it can not connect "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at graphisoftid.graphisoft.com."

I tried Chrome, Firefox and Explorer, same result. Clear data/cache and all that and the problem persist.
I don't use any proxy server or vpn. (Windows 10)

Also Archicad 24 can not connect. I have, more or less the same message. "Can not connect to server ID, check the internet and all that"

How did i get the license? From smartphone. It appears using the smartphone, in the same network can work. I can login and do anything. But from Pc is impossible to access any of the above page.
Archicad 24 accepted the license without any problems, but it can not connect.

Any ideas?
Thank you in advance

P.s
It's possible that I posted my problem to a non relative category. Sorry for that, but I didn't know where to post it. ( I had the same issue, even before acquire a license, so it's not affected by the type of license )

P.s 2
1) https://graphisoft.com/downloads/addons/rfa
2) https://myarchicad.com/

I can view both pages, but every time I click to login, it's failing to load the webpage

Dear @Riccardo87 and @KenneyKim

Thank you very much for sharing the problem!

This issue can happen due to a system-wide block, preventing the connection from your machine to our services. Usually, this is caused by the hosts file.

To open this file:

- On Windows: the hosts file can be found at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. You can open it with any Text editor application (Notepad for example)

- On macOS: open the Terminal on macOS (Finder > Utilities > Terminal), then run the following command (requires admin rights and password):

sudo nano /etc/hosts

Once the file is opened, please delete all entries in this file and save it.

After that, you will be able to access our services from your machine again.

Please let me know how it goes!

Best regards,

Minh

It might have something to do with cross tracking in your browser.

See it this post helps ...

Hello Harry,

Thank you very much for your question and I am very sorry about the issue!

I would like to carry out a simple test: If you open this webpage: https://graphisoftid.graphisoft.com/#/login
with any browser, does it successfully load the website, or the browser reports that it cannot connect?

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,
Minh

No. It can not load the page. "Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at graphisoftid.graphisoft.com."

Hi Harrys,

Thank you for the answer. I can see where the problem is. If you are using any firewall/antivirus protection, please temporarily disable them and try to open https://graphisoftid.graphisoft.com/ again.

If the connection is still not successful, I would like to ask for the hosts file, which can be found here: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
Feel free to send me a Private Message if you decide to share the hosts file.

Thank you very much, and best of luck with your exam!

Best regards,
Minh

First of all, thank you for the help.
I am not using any firewall, except the one from windows
As for the antivirus it's a free version of Antimalware Bytes. ( https://www.malwarebytes.com/ )
I've disabled it, just for the test and also the windows firewall.

As you see the result is the same. I can not see the page.
I ll send you in message the host file

Hi Harrys,

Thank you very much for your message!

I sent you the instruction on how to fix the issue. In short, there were some entries that are blocking your computer from connecting to GraphisoftID website. After removing those entries, you will be able to access without any issue!

Please let me know if it helps!

Best regards,
Minh
