Drivers are up to date, trace reference is not the issue with the ghosting problem, it happens occasionally with trace both on or off. I still have no idea other than possibly the video card

The first thing I would try is to update your video card drivers.

Deleted or moved items ghosted until zoom or scroll

I've had AC not allow me to enter " for inches until I restarted. I was thinking maybe I had another program running that was intercepting the shift+" keystroke as a shortcut but I couldn't isolate it. I never did figure it out. Only bring it up for posterity so the Graphisoft crew will be aware of it in case it's an internal bug.

The other thing sounds like you have trace reference on.

Ghosting happens occasionally with trace reference on or off.

If I restart the software it works good... for a while. I still have no idea what causes these glitches.

Do you set ArchiCAD to use Nvidia card instead off Intel HD (OPTIMUS)?

I figured out the problem with the ' symbol (I was also having this problem with the " and / symbols). Somehow my keyboard was switching from US English to Canadian French, probably when I was working fast and hitting a certain key combination by accident. Anyway, I've locked the language settings on my computer and it seems to have solved the problem.
