I am undecided about buying between these two machines (for work CAD / Rendering - essentially, work with AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Artlantis, Cinema 4D, CorelDraw,...) with identical values Cost! (PC vs MAC !!!!)

Assuming you don't need it to run Mac OS I would go with the HP. The Xeons and pro video are a significant difference in my experience.

I too am waiting on the new MacPro. I'm hoping that coming out in 2013 doesn't mean December. My current one is almost five years old and I'm running out of things I can do to upgrade.

The new Mac Pro will only go out between August and November 2013!! I hope my PC hang up there!!

I even pondered buying new iMac (but might not support the CAD / Rendering very well)

Xeon is better than i7 for CAD / Rendering?!

The xeons you list have 6 cores (12 threads thanks to hyperthreading) so by 2 and that is 12 cores and 24 threads

vs

i7 has 4 cores (8 threads thanks to hyperthreading).

so when rendering you will have 3x the processing brains on the job!

I can't imagine you'll notice a difference generally, but when rendering or updating a layout there will be a significant difference!

And that's before we talk about tailored graphics cards optimised for the rendering software you use....

These are two different computers in my opinion.
I am using them both 🙂 + MBP for everyday work.
I mac 27" is a great computer — combination of good OS (Mountain Lion) speed and display. Z620 with this 24 threads is very good solution for rendering, Artlantis render significantly faster (2-4 times) and even bigger scenes with neon shaders. This HP is my first computer where I could try to use my Maxwell Render
So it is impossible to compare these two, main reason is Windows/MacOS difference.
