PC Workstation requirements for AC11

Hello,

We are newbies in regards to IT stuff, so please bear with us - all the help will be appreciated greatly.
We use Archicad 11 - our computers are crashing and we are having them completely rebuilt.

1) Should we use the Windows XP 64-bit edition OS? We got 4G of ram... If we do what are the implications? Is there going to be a lot of adjustments that we have to make?
2) What video card should we use? A workstation card or a gamer card? We were told there is a difference. Is there? Which model/make is the most effective for AC11 (we definitely are devoted enthusiasts of virtual trace and light works)?
3) We want these rebuilt computers work for at least 3 years...

Thank you.
