archicad 10 crashes with startup

archicad keeps crashing when I open it... I have a registered copy, tried removing the dongle, but also crashes - doesn't even ask if I want to open demo version. using hp compaq nx8220. tried uninstalling and installing again several times, no luck. please please anyone have any other solutions??
