problem with Chained line automatically become single line

Hi All,

I am new to AC (I'm using AC20) and experience the issue of drawing chained wall. I made walls with chained method and when release (double clicked) the wall automatically become single wall.
I cannot find what is the cause. When I try to open new window of AC and draw chained wall, it works perfectly all right, it still come out as chained wall and not single wall.

Anyone could help me solve this? thank you.

When you create a chained wall they are automatically created as a group (circular coloured nodes instead of black dots).
If groups are 'enabled' then they will all select as one.
If you 'suspend' the groups then you can select the walls individually.

ALT+G should be the shortcut.

Also, if you create a chain of Walls, that chain will never be one Wall element, it will always be a series of Wall elements, which may be grouped automatically, as Barry mentioned.

There is no such geometry option in ARCHICAD where a chain of Walls is a single element.
