Real-Time OpenGL Rendering for C4D

Anonymous
Not applicable
For those advanced "techies" - with the right hardware, software.

Requirements: a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 or similar, Cinema 4D 8.5

This plugin employs the graphics card for an interactive preview and fast rendering into files including environment maps, bump maps, and shadows. In addition, Cg shaders given as .fx files can be used.

PLUG-IN FILE = c4dfx081.zip

Also:
The 12pointO file is a plug-in for sketch and toon effects.

Then:
Clicking on more info will lead you to screen movies of the plug-in working. These are animations rendered with the hardware card. Basically a 30 second animation renders in 30 sec. - Realtime. Enjoy!

- Professor anything you might like to add?

Yes:

The plug-in has been developed using version 1.1 of the Cg toolkit:

http://developer.nvidia.com/object/cg_toolkit_1_1.html

It may or may not work with newer releases of the Cg toolkit. So if you
experience missing shadows, strange highlights or even crases, this may
be the reason. (Besides lots of programming bugs of myself 😉

Furthermore, the plug-in _definitely_ needs an Nvidia graphics card,
because it makes use of a special OpenGL extension.

Full source code can be found in the book "GPU Gems".

- Thanks for your support of the Cinema4D product.

No problem. I'm just promoting "Made in Germany" 😉

Budapest is not far from Germany. Please GS, consult with this expert and add antialiasing, light sources with cast shadows as options to our OpenGL editing environment in ArchiCAD.

I believe this man can show you the light and shadow, little pun there.
