Visible light sources in Redshift?

Hi, has anyone got any solutions for how to show visible light sources in Redshift? Area Lights seems to render as black, and the Illumination surface channel is no longer an option either.

I can put a surface using Glow to make a light look as if it is on, but the black area light then obscures it.

Weirdly, Area Lights seem to be visible in reflections on other surfaces - just not directly.

Really frustrating if it's not possible - we do a lot of interiors with ceiling grid and diffused lighting panels, and won't want our renders full of black rectangles.

Edit: Solved it, solution in case anyone else needs it:

Make sure visibility of the Area Lights is turned off, sit them just below an object with a Luminant surface channel applied.
