archicad 14 and artlantis studio 2.1.2.2

Hi everyone- Over the last several months I have modeled some projects in Archicad 14 and have saved them as Artlantis 2.0 files. I have been able to open them in Artlantis and create renderings. I have just modeled a new project in Archicad 14 and exported it to Artlantis Studio 2.1.2.2 (as I have been doing). But when this new file opens, it takes a long time to open in the render window and its all messed up (technical term). It seems to be constructing all these radiating lines across the model. When I perform any change, either a camera view or heliodon change, before it starts to build it blurs out and then slowly generates and you can watch these radiating lines spread across the model. I have tried copying and pasting the model into a brand new file and have tried saving only certain layers but the problem persists. As a test I have opened one of my recent Archicad models and saved them to artlantis again and everything works just fine. This leads me to believe the problem is with the new Archicad file but I can't figure out the problem. Any assistance would be most appreciated since I will be needing these new renderings in the next week or two. Thanks again!

Is this just in preview - or if you generate a rendering do you see those lines? This looks like something that would be affecting preview only and could be related to a model and/or textures that are more than your graphics card can handle.

(You say the 'rendering window' - but there isn't such a thing. There is a preview window, which is an approximate rendering and then there is the actual render, which has just a progress window during the calculation, but isn't the render - you have to open up the saved file to see that.)

Is your model far from the origin in ArchiCAD? That can cause weird lines. Check that you do not have a user origin active. In plan view, double click the origin button to reset any user origin and put the bold origin 'x' at (0,0). Now, measure if anything that would appear in 3D is far (as in over a mile) from the origin.

Could be related to smoothing... with the Shader inspector active, select a surface that shows the lines and drag the smoothing slider towards the right, halfway should be enough; fully to the right if that doesn't help. Wait for the preview to regenerate.

Thanks very much for your assistance. And you're correct...the image I attached was of the preview window. When I would render, all the lines would show up and would take a long time to render. I'm going to try some of your tips and hopefully one works. Checking quickly, I know I am a long way from the origin. I'll start there. Thanks again.
