Why does Graphisoft think it can do a better job on its own?
You'll see the branding at the bottom of each page ... that this site is "Powered by Khoros". Graphisoft has not developed any of this software, but it is highly customizable and hopefully a lot of the currently frustrating aspects of the new interface can be addressed. Please keep giving specific things for them to improve... and if the things that annoy you are already listed in other posts, please click "Like" for those posts.

O.K. Thanks. So if its 'Powered by Khoros' how do they get so many of these forum features wrong out of the box when working with a platform that does this for a living? Its like they have given it the 'Graphisoft touch' Like you say, maybe they will fix all these issues in time.

Matching the visual aesthetic of the forum to their article pages... No Wright here...

If you go to the Khoros website, you can see their forums are as bad as these ones 😫

That's rather disheartening - if they can't manage to wash away the ad-page look then who can?

It's frustrating when you get the feeling that GS themselves don't really know how the platform functions or even how they want it to function. It is great that they are working to strengthen the interaction with users but I can't really see why they so obviously had to rusch the launch of a new platform.
A case in point. They ask for feedback on the new platform but don't provide a proper channel for it nor seem to interact with it or any question (no posts made by admins/manegers since launch).
As it is now the feedbacks comes as replies to this individual post made in an rather nondescript forum which manifests many of the issues that users want to give feed back on (edless scrolling, not being able to see your likes, confusing tags, etc).
Why isn't there a separate forum for the feedback (as I've already suggested elsewhere)? Given the state-of-the-art platform its should be no problem to set that up quickly when the need for it realised. Right?

One Feature throws an error. Clicking one of the main forum sections and then "Options > Article Dashboard" throws an error.
I don't know if this has been already mentioned yet because searching this thread for keywords confused me and i didn't clicked all "load more" buttons.

Again on the long thread issue ... please can we have a search current thread option? I have been trying to find a post from yesterday and it is taking way too long.

If you click on the magnifying glass next to a blank search box, you will be taken to a search screen where you can limit what you are searching for - location, date, user, etc.
You can combine all of these options together with key words as well.
Barry.

Thanks for the suggestion @Barry Kelly Unfortunately that only seems to take you to the thread, it won't list individual posts. I narrowed it down to the posts contributor and still ended up at the first post. I have gone back to a Threaded feed, so I don't know how that impacts the results.
Good news is with MacOS Safari I can use Ctrl-F to search the full web page, assuming the full thread is listed. I assume other browsers have a similar function.

Thanks everyone for sharing your comments! There are many valid points and good suggestions, we are reviewing all, one by one. We'll try to improve the thread options soon. Thank you for your patience!

@Gordana Radonic It is possible to spend time replying to a post, then hit Reply to get taken to the log-in page and find your post gone because you had forgotten you were not logged in. Surely we should be advised of our log-in status before allowing the edit box to operate?

Given the avatar next to the edit box it seems as you might be able to reply as a guest but hitting reply prompts login and if you login you are faced with error message with Exception ID: 37FF74E2.

Hi Gordana,
I think the webpage formatting needs some adjustments. Currently it creates lots of wasted space, so even a short thread with a couple of replies requires relentless page scrolling… Also the actual content is lost in a motley mixture of gadgets and text sizes that makes reading very difficult... some suggestions:
1. Date/Time - current format is annoyingly unreadable for people who are used to DD-MM-YYYY format. I would suggest a trade-off that is more legible, e.g. Sep 4, 2021. Time - could we get rid of the unnecessary zero before hour?
2. Force a standard format for user’s signatures, preferably smaller and greyed out…. currently having them formatted to the main body text format is very distracting.
3. I do not think that the static sidebar works - it is just wasting lots of space.
4. Buttons - unnecessarily too big
just for illustration... buttons are 25% smaller, I do not think we need "like(s)" - it is pretty obvious, dates/times are in smaller text, new format and aligned for better legibility, signature font is forced to the date/time font size for consistency.

Date format can be set under:
Profile => My Settings => Preferences => Display => Date Display Format

Any chance we can get a hybrid Display Date on posts? At the moment you either have the full date and time which can be hard to keep track of, or a very loose day of post...
Relative dates is really good for recent posts. 3 hours ago. Once it gets to more than a day it fails , especially in the Threaded Layout, as it just shows the day... Friday. It should at least show the time as well.
Ling.

Can you create a forum on forum feedback and questions? Can discussions be pinned at the top of something to help people know how to navigate and use the forum? Topics seem to float in and out of searches without any structure. Where is the backbone? 😞

I don't understand the tags or "Labels". I selected "Feedback" and never got this thread to show up. But I did get some other irrelevant topics and only 4 threads that had no responses. What is going on here? what are the Labels for?

Because this thread, even though it is asking for feedback, does not have the label "Feedback". The only label it has is "community" which means basically nothing and has zero value...
