Labels should help to filter out results and to avoid having too many sub-forums. It is a work in process. AFAIK as we keep "beta testing" the platform it should start to evolve into what we need.

The Labels input should be placed between the text box and the reply button. Being off to the side I have forgotten about it a few times, and by the looks of it, others are overlooking it too...

@Gordana Radonic, please add some additional Labels to your thread as pointed out by Todd.

More condensed. Collapse/flat threads. More focus on the subject. More clear visuals to identify posts. Less white "empty space".

I'm not sure how the User Level after our name is being assigned, but it seems like 18 years and more than 1,500 posts should rate better than "Newcomer". You guys are really tough! 😉

EDIT: I just see I've now moved up to "Participant". Woohoo!

@Richard Morrison It seems to update each time you log in (once a day?). I have less posts and have been through numerous titles. I was an Expert! Now I seems to have stabilised as an "Advisor". 🤓

Is there any way to lock the page header to the top of the screen as we scroll? It might help with navigation, especially if at the bottom of a long thread. And then we could jump to the next subject easier. There seems to be no way to navigate the page other than the scroll wheel.

@4hotshoes On your keyboard the [Home] and [End] keys work which I find helps.

Also CMD+Up Arrow or Down Arrow if your keyboard doesn't have Home and End keys.

So a long thread I used to follow pops up in the new posts notification. I change the thread to show newest to oldest. BUT because the actual new post is nested it can appear several pages in. It would really help when clicking on the thread notification it went to the actual new post. This should apply to every new post. Unfortunately, I think a number of possibly important posts could be missed without this change as other nested posts made at a similar time in the same thread will be missed. A common example would be a popular topic that resurfaces and then several new opinions are given nested posts scattered through the thread.

I feel your pain.

A solution is hopefully being worked on.

I am not sure how long it might take to implement though.

You should see an orange vertical line to the side of the new post as you scan through the thread.

The threaded posts are nice, but you are right.

A reply could be anywhere in the thread.

You can list as un-threaded and then in date order, but you lose the continuity of the thread.

It is a bit of a 'catch 22' at the moment.

Try this.

https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/forums/unreadpostspage/tab/message

This link will show you all the unread posts in the entire community.

You might want to mark all post as read if you haven't done so already, or the list may be very long.

Admin are working on if they can add this as a button or menu item somewhere - let's hope they can.

Certainly a step in the right direction. Would be good with the ability to filter/sort by forum.

@Barry Kelly Is that link a Moderator option? I don't see any obvious filtering or advanced search options for unread posts. 🤔

The link shared by Barry shouldn't be a moderator only option. Can you check if you see Design forum specific items on this link?

https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/forums/unreadpostspage/Design-forum/bd-p/forum_design/tab/messag...

If yes, this means you can filter by forum types too. just replace Design-forum/bd-p/forum_design/ part with the particular forum you are interested in (can be copied from the URL if you visit these pages).

As a user I don't see any way to get to that page without the link - where should I find it?

And the link you posted with "/design-forum/" does not filter to the design forum but show posts in whole community.

Sorry, I shared the wrong link. This one is the right one: https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/forums/unreadpostspage/board-id/forum_design/tab/message

That one works and filters to design forum. However there's no way to get the board_id for the other forums so you have to provide links to them as well.

Even as a quick fix is rather cumbersome to rely on pasting urls or making bookmarks - I would suggest that you instead make the links available under the category dropdown menus in the header or maybe under separate category.

In the end I would like to see it replacing Hot Topics on the landing page and have the ability filter with tabs.

@Noemi Balogh So basically there is no filter "Unread posts" option in the menu structure so we have to resort to hacking the URL?

This one covers all groups...

https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/forums/unreadpostspage

I have added it to my favourite web page links.

Thanks for your suggestions. Currently we are working on how to make it available quickly on the UI, so I would like to ask for your patience. We are constantly working in the background to make the new Community a better place for all of us, but it takes time. 🙂
