a free and easy way to import a satellite derived 3D terrain model that is easily converted to a mesh with the ability to display topographic contours at increments selected by the designer.

Czech BIM content supplier has a tool that lets you download parcel map (Not sure of translation, Katastr in czech) and 3D data from older version of Google earth. The plugin is super easy to use, you just zoom iín in a map on area of interest and it just grabs it. Avalible onyl in CZ, SK and SLO:( It would be awesome, however, now when archicad has the ability to handle pointclouds, to be able to grab piece of new gen Google spatial data and put them to archicad. It would also be awesome to be able to generate basic shapes of buildings from OSM data.

From Archicad 8.5 all the way to the present.
