A Mac OS Based Interface Idea for ArciCAD

The wish for an interface refresh persists here - often in the form of a frustrated sign in another thread.

Serif is a UK based software developer currently lighting up the graphic design world with their Adobe killing apps.

This short video is a quick overview of Affinity Photo's interface and it suggests a direction Graphisoft might examine in any examination of the ARchiCAD interface. https://vimeo.com/119954039

Serif's trick here is to go directly to a full screen mode and present sets of tools or task contexts in the form of "personae".

Not only the interface but much of the application has to be reconsidered. Why have multiple menus and drop down windows that all do the same thing? (application and project preferences). Any why oh why do some of the progress bars, icons and windows feel like they are straight out of OS 9? (maybe because they are?!) Why is the help drop down window text different to everything else?

Too many revisions without optimisation unfortunately. The whole program feels really dated and cobbled together from various bits of code.

I do like what Serif are doing though!
