AC26 Link To Dialog missing Search option

The "Link To" dialog desperately needs a search field the same as Navigator. It needed one long before the recent changes!

We should take it further and generalise thus wish to: show a search field anywhere you  have to select and item from a potentially very long list.  

v26  introduced folders and the search box but it has not implemented those features comprehensively across the whole application.
