AC27 wishlist

Booster

Now that AC26 has almost arrived, perhaps we can already gather some wishes for AC27.
Again, wise to keep it short, and only name your top 3 with the highest priority.
Focus on what you want to contribute and don't react to what others submit worked well last time too.

107 REPLIES 107

1. Centralised Attribute Management

2. Unrestricted access to all properties for Graphic Overrides and Schedules

3. General bug fixes from 10-year backlog (including stair, railing, CW)

Hvala / thank you for supporting this one. I've been nagging about this at GS for quite some time. On the old forum it was marked as essential from one of the moderators, but still no changes.

| Archicad 4.55 - 27
| HP Z840 | 2× E5-2643 v4 | 64 GB RAM | Quadro M5000 | Windows 10 Pro x64
| HP Z4 G4 | W-2245 | 64 GB RAM | RTX A4000 | Windows 11

+1 for both 2 and 3. (as for fonts, where there is a text to be displayed inside Archicad, there should be at least  the posibility to choose favorite setting to apply to it)

From Archicad 8.5 all the way to the present.
Passionate Autocad hater as well.
Wish to save palets and menus individualy in work enviroments:

1) Ability to edit hotlinked modules and if possible, DWG/DXFs too.

2) Massive improvements to Param-o. It has a huge potential but is almost unusable now. Start with adding 2d scripting capability, that is a must.

3) Layers in groups, similair to how illustrator works with them.

Im not sure for centralised attribute manager - that could result in a lot of unwanted behaviour. However it would be cool if we could manage together atributes (and classifications!) for all projects inside one bimcloud server folder. This would make managing modules and complex projects much easier.

1) When selecting text having the current anchor point show in a different colour so you don't need to go look under properties or scroll on the properties bar to see what it is.

2) Better windows and doors creation without additional addons.

That is what is meant by a Centralised Attribute Manager.

One attribute source for the files of your choosing.

You can have multiple attribute sources for different files, so you are not stuck to just one set of attributes.

Basically you choose which attributes link to which file - but they are stored external to the file rather than internally like they are now.

Versions 6.5 to 27
Dell XPS- i7-6700 @ 3.4Ghz, 16GB ram, GeForce GTX 960 (2GB), Windows 10
Lenovo Thinkpad - i7-1270P 2.20 GHz, 32GB RAM, Nvidia T550, Windows 11

Agreed! The concept is akin to library management and could function in a similar manner; Office Standard Attributes, and Project Specific Attributes.

ArchiCAD since 8.0, currently on 22, waiting on 26, maybe...

1-  A new Window/Door Tool (buy out Central Innovations W/D builder and improve on it, PLEASE).

2- Ability to apply renovation filters to composite's SKINS.

3- I wish I could color (colour) code folders (and their contents) in the "Organizer" palette, or have the ability to hide them. I don't need to see everything in my template all the time.
