Allow Markers to Link to Other Files

A common workflow for large buildings or multiple-building projects is to separate the model and the layouts into two different ArchiCAD files. While ArchiCAD does a good job of displaying and updating drawing references to things like elevations and sections (where the building and the elevation or section view are in the same file), it is not possible to link a marker to a view in another file.

This is a problem for things like details or wall sections that are common to multiple buildings; we must resort to setting detail references to custom, which is not ideal. Graphisoft, please add the ability to link markers to drawings in other files. Thank you!

Maybe this issue is best addressed with a more comprehensive solution to large and multi-building projects in ArchiCAD? There are other problems with the multiple file approach for campus-type projects or large building projects, such as trying to keep attributes in sync between all the files.
