Column wraps in ArchiCAD seem to be the same all the way around a column. In the case where three sides of a column are nominal 2" drywall facing and the fourth side provides a 4" 6" or 8" vertical pipe or conduit chase, the column tool is awkward. While the two wall types surrounding the column may be different, and the required effect _can_ be achieved, the whole enclosure is typically counted as a column area and will eventually be deduced to arrive at GSA BIM Area.

As a production tool, it makes sense to provide for column wraps that are "asymmetrical."

If you model the described column with a complex profile, do you have any control over which bits are subtracted from the zone? (Does marking some of the wrap or chase as a finish or non-core element make a difference?)
