Delete saved orientations

In Archicad we can rotate the 2D views to other angles than the default orientation: by default it proposes orthogonal orientations (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) but we can rotate the view to any other angle.
These different angles are stored in the orientation view list for easy retrieval.
The problem is when we have lots of different orientation angles listed in and we don't want all of them to be stored.
So it would be nice to :
- delete unwanted orientation angles, and/or ;
- name them like AutoCAD named UCS...

They reset on the close of the program.
They can be saved with a view.

Really ? I'm not sure...
I've closed the file and reopened it, the angles were still there !

To be able to name the rotation angle of the view a n d to save them in project file would be nice unimportant if it is saved in the associated view.

Seems this has been asked before.

Is there a way to save and name orientations?

I'd prefer this to be in the Project Map, so I can switch between views and maintain the particular layers and scale I working in.

Yes there is, but it does not seem obvious - but it works.

Set the orientation and zoom factor you want.

Now go to the zoom button and 'Save Current Zoom'.

This also save the orientation so I just discovered.

Hi,

I just found a way to delete unwanted orientations, by creating new ones that make sense. I found the same problem as you when setting up the template, as there was one saved orientation that I wanted to remove.

It turns out that Archicad will only save the last 4 orientations, so by defining new ones that make sense, you can delete the old ones.

See image below to the ones I have created to complement the standard ones:
