Demolished objects disappear in some views

We have instances where we wish to show existing, demolished (dotted) and new construction on the same drawing. Objects that are demolished disappear completely e.g. toilets, basins etc.
It would be really useful if there was a very basic outline built into every object that appears in views when you want to show that they were there originally but are to be demolished.

ArchiCAD 16 Windows version.

You can set up a renovation filter to do that.

I've now found it! I needed to untick the "Hide Objects" box in the "Elements to be Demolished" section. Thank you s2art for making me look harder. It appears to default to ticked.
