Depth cueing in elevations/sections

Ro-Ra
Booster

This feature is present in Revit which allows the user to define 2 planes parallel to the elevation/section place as near and far planes. Objects further away are gradually more faded. Such a feature would make sense in AC's elevation/section/interior elevation settings (or MVOs if these are moved there) if near/far cutoff planes are enabled. Either use opacity (best solution imho) or mix farther off colors with an RGB "background" color.

We already have something like this.

In 25 (and maybe 24) in section/elevation settings...

BarryKelly_0-1646664664504.png

In previous versions it was known as 'Marked distance area'.

There is no gradual fade - distant elements are just thinner and lighter in colour.

I am using AC24 which doesn't have this option. Thanks for pointing this out, Barry.

In 24 it was probably called 'Marked Distance Area'.

I only had 25 open at the time and had no way to know what version you are using.

It is best to add something in your profile signature to say what version of Archicad and operating system you are using.

Answers can depend on this information.

Especially as you seem to be wishing for a lot of features - it would be best to know exactly what you are using.
