In the Details folder of the Project Map we need to be able to create folders to better organize the many details we use.

I just wonder why would you need to organise details in the project map?
You should get them organised in the view map and that is possible.
In principle you can use one detail in the project map several times in the view map so it would make all organisation more confusing.
However if you after a sort of simple organisation in the project map, this is the way you could do that: Use the detail IDs for grouping them together like all details from section A-A will have IDs A-01..A-n and for elevations EL1-01..EL1-n etc. As for plans you can have details numbered like Level 1 details will have IDs L1-01..L1-n.

This system has an advantage during documentation process as well. When you do not have all details placed on layout sheets (and therefore you can see just #DetID and #LayID in markers - grrrr GS) you can identify your details (showing IDs temporarily) on your plans/sections etc so when you talk to someone about particular detail you call it by its ID rather than "that one in right corner of section B-B that shows footings detail".
Secondly it works as a simple back-referencing as you can tell that the detail A-06 came from section AA and the detail GF-58 is a detail from Ground floor plan.
You will appreciate that especially when you are dealing with large number of details.

Back to your poll mate, I can not really see a need for this.
