Fill on overhead outlines - don't show

I usually show floor boards and floor tiles on the home storey. I want to show the position of this floor by a dotted outline on the floor below, but I don't want to show the floor board shading on this view. How can I show the outline, but not it's fill, on lower floors?

I assume you are using slabs with cover fills for your tiles and floor boards?
If so then you can set them to "Show on stories" as "Custom".
Then you can edit the custom setting to allow the slab outline to be seen on the storey below but not the fill.
Barry.
