If they add this feature which I would relly like, there needs to be a display option setting that turns it off and on so it can be in my floor finish plan but not my architectural plan.

I've been told by my Graphisoft contacts that they are working on this one!

Well it can't be too hard for them. The technology is already available. Orbit Solutions have just what you are asking for
Please read. This is taken directly from their web site.

The orbit Slab Hatcher allows the linking of a user defined ArchiCAD fill element to a slab in the Floor Plan Window. Editing one will see the changes automatically reflected by the other.

The orbit Slab Hatcher add-on is soon to be available for purchase from one of our distributors to users of ArchiCAD 8 on both the Windows and Mac platform.

You can find their web site at http://www.orbitsolutions.com.au/???

I had an opportunity to see this baby in action at the last distributors meeting in Budapest in May, I was impressed

But I agree it need to be incorperated into ArchiCAD.
Cheers.

It seems that fill patterns should be an option for the Slab Tool. We find that drawing a fill for tile and then a slab is redundant. Why, the two functions should be available in the same tool.

This would save sooo much time when making any flooring and ceiling tiles as well.

I would just like to add one suggestion (which may very well already have been done).

The display of slab and roof fills should be controlled by a view option, as the walls are currently. I guess this is pretty obvious, but there have been numerous failings in the implementation of new features that I would have thought obvious in their conception (the label tool for example - it would be great if it worked even acceptably well).

Brad and Matt have the right idea here. They definitely need to be controlled by display options.
