The Find & Select tool can be very useful. However, In ArchiCAD 11, you can't use Find & Select in a patch.
This would be very handy to have as this is where it could be effective at removing duplicates of identical lines and fills and would speed up the whole process.
It does work, but to be honest it is a bit temperamental in my opinion. I did only use it once but it seemed at the time to be slightly complicated and didn't do exactly what you wanted it to.
I think Find & Select would be useful in this window for other reasons as well. Such as getting rid of all the empty fills that you don't want showing.
