Another use case where fill origin and orientation control (or even just ability to remain the same!) through graphic overrides is needed is for cover fills to slabs, applied whether as vector fill associated with surface texture 'fills from surface', or as selected fills.
I have a case where a graphic override is needed in some views to change solid tile joint lines to dashed tile joint lines in the cover fill.
When a graphic override fill is applied, the fill origin is just ignored , whether the original cover fill origin was set by surface texture origin, or manually

It can be done automatically. Just if original fill set to fit the skin, then overrides do the same. Also following original fill origin and proportion.
Unfortunately this does not work for floor slabs - slab cover fills ignore texture origin, and fill cover graphic override ignore both texture origin and cover fill origin.
Also even without using slab cover fill, the vectoral hatching fill origin of a surface material applied to slab is also not respected by graphic override fill
