Graphic Override for skin types

Barry Kelly

It has often been asked that we can use Graphic Overrides to modify just one skin in a wall rather than the entire composite.
It seems that is not possible for the moment at least.

However I think it would be a good alternative to have a GO for the skin type - core, other, finish.

We can already control these by Partial Structure Display - turning the entire skin on or off as needed.
So what about having an option in the GO to override the view of these skins?

Is there any news on this? I could really use this at the moment. Or better, had expected it to work as different skins are indeed detectable for the Partial Structure Display.

I plan on using it to check my BIM model, especially the core component of my exterior walls and the outer wall skin (bricks or cladding).

Other than that it's hiking, camping, climbing.

Sorry I must have missed your question.
No there has been no change to GO working with partial elements (wall skins).
Nor have I heard anything about this changing any time soon.
