Graphic Overrides - adding a feature

It would be nice if a graphic override could be specific to the area within a detail bubble so to make that part of the view faded grey or lines dashed or whatever in the view that the detail bubble contains. In this process maybe the override is applied to the detail, or the override applied to the view has criteria for seeing specific detail markers by name or layer. The idea behind this is that every wall section is not always modeled to the extent that yields a good view of intersecting objects and the tradition in some firms is to turn that section into 2d and simply redraw it off to the side of the live section. This is really a lot of work and it would be better to let the live wall section stand on its on, and only detail the problem areas. For many architects this is unacceptable as the entire section should look mostly correct. One way to accomplish this by using an override to simply poche the wall sections so the problem areas are not so apparent, but many architects really want to see the wall structure which then only emphases areas that are not modeled to the extreme. If the detail bubble could fade back the area contained in the bubble we could improve the look of the section as a whole, and then spend our time dealing with the details.
