Have the ability to use property / autotext

It would be so useful to be able to actually use autotext and property values rather than just 2D text

Assuming you are talking about GDL? Being able to read the returned value?

Lingwisyer, correct. Not only just output it as 2D text but to be able to read it in the object to actually be able to do something with it.

It would be nice as it would open up a lot of the current limitations with requests.

Only a spade is provided, there is no ladder.

Might be considered too deep if I was digging to the point of the functionality not being useful, but I imagine a fair few people might have good use for this, as do I

Sure would use it.
I would love to be able to add a custom text filed to the project info, and then be able to have objects respond to it.
i.e. for construction type (framed, solid brick, etc., or Bushfire Attack Level.

Currently we can store all this info there and can display it in plan, but we can not read what the info is and therefore can't make smart objects.

Well it can be done by using Model View Options and Global Library variables, but their settings are stored with each MVO combination and are therefore not actually Global but MVO dependent.
