I wish a better 3d window zoom and pan.

I would like to zoom and look around in 3d window just like it "3d studio max" does.


With a mouse wheel pressed (in 3dmax) I can turn around and when I wanna zoom - I just scrool mose wheel without thinking too much where does my camera look or non-stop clicking and draging in a different window corners (in AC) that is time and energy consuming.


Autocad is also good with his "3dorbit"

Feel free to vote on your own poll.
Try the 3D rotate / pan / twisting in conjunction with Ctrl and Shift keys for interesting results.
I used to like setting the continuous 3dOrbit off and watch while my computer crashed....

But yes, better control and faster refresh too please.

I hate to say this, but navigating in 3D in SketchUp is so much easier than in ArchiCAD. Every time I have to go back and forth, I end up cursing because it's so tedious in ArchiCAD.

Having said that, it's even worse in Microstation.
