Interior Room Dimensions

The zone tool currently gives the option of showing the room Area/Square Feet. It would be really helpful to have Interior Room Dimensions as an option, too.

Thanks.

it would be useful, but how would it deal with a non rectangular room?

The 3D program I've worked with in the past took the dimensions of the outer most points for a non-rectangular room.

That is we currently do it for carpet dimensions.

I think it might be in this forum, you'll have to hunt for it, but someone posted some gdl about how to add additional hotspots that reference the room overalls, and place it in the zone stamp....which requires a bit of manual placement but is a good fix for now...works for polygonal rooms too, as user selects where hotspots fall.

Quick and easy solution. You can stretch the hotspot of the object at any room dimension you like. You can also customize the script.

The disadvantage is that it has nothing to do with the Zone tool and doesn't automatically pick any info out of it. For housing is great. For large commercial projects I'd stay with the Zone Stamp.
