Lathed Column

Column object would use any complex or composite profile as a half cross section that is swept about the reference point of the column on the z-axis (or maybe any specified 3d slope).

-user could specify number of sides from 3 up.
-core and finish component toggles in profile would correspond to structure and veneer in column settings

As a workaround, use Profiler or a wall with the appropriate Custom profile

And ... posting a screen shot for clarity would not be too bad

Yes, you can draw a 1" diameter wall, set the offset from reference at 1/2" and you'll basically get the same thing.

The workaround with the wall tool is tedious and doesn't yield good results. I vote for having it part of the column tool. Currently I make my own gld revolved object or square. The profiler tool has some funky results too.
Many Thanks, JP

I say: Lathed Objects in general.

The complex profile tool works perfectly for me. You just need to offset the origin so you can describe a circle.
