Layer order by Discipline Designator

I wish Archicad's layers respected the discipline designator in regards to alphabetizing the layers (like AutoCAD does). "A" layers should come before "AS" layers.

Another feature that would make navigating layers easier is hierarchal display. Vectorworks has this. Since Vectorworks and Archicad are part of the Nemetschek Group, I would think this would be an easy feature to implement. It is so useful...

Are you utilising the Layer Extension? If not, you could use that for your discipline designator. Also, in your image, just double click the Layer Name header or reopen the Layer Dialogue?
